Bert Kaempfert - To The Good Life bert kaempfert's prolific and consistently impressive discography has received a lot of re-release attention in the last decade, making me the proud owner of many a fine bert album. this one i somehow missed though, until i stumbled across a double vinyl copy in the polydor "bert kaempfert collection" at my 5th floor dealer. how an lp from as late as the early nineties ended up in the middle of all that stock is beyond me, but the mint copies of "to the good life" and record one "bye bye blues" are deeply appreciated. the polydor "bk collection" covers are awful, so i pinched this album cover instead. this is bert smooth and steady, a little swing and a little seventies. .................... 01 - take the a train 02 - the sunny side of life 03 - my melancholy baby 04 - time to dream 05 - what is this thing called love 06 - lover's wonderland 07 - wheeling free 08 - the good life...

Com toda certeza o Bert Kaempfert não gravou apenas o Afrikaan Beat a prova disto esta no álbum original que já postamos “ Bert Kaempfert & His Orchestra 1962 A Swingin' Safári ” onde temos vários hit`s deste Maestro do sambarock que por incrível que pareça ainda tem musicas que não se sabe o porque estão inéditas nos dias de hoje talvez por sua estrema raridade já na década de setenta e foi caindo no esquecimento. Bom este álbum e muito mais para resgatarmos a emoção de ter tido este disco e consegui-lo novamente do que outra coisa e também porque o nosso objetivo e o de mostramos os álbuns que ajudaram a fazer a historia do sambarock e com certeza este foi um.
